Lexus will tomorrow pull the curtain off a study model, of which the brand is now releasing a new teaser plate. The show car that is in the pipeline seems to get an electric powertrain in any case.
At Lexus, a new study model is eager to show its face. The brand previously showed a shadowy photo of its concept car and is now releasing an image for the second time. Lexus’ officially still unnamed concept car seems to be electrically powered in any case.
The teaser photo shows a semi-transparent version of the study model, and it is noticeable that there is no regular power source under the hood. The small module visible there is almost certainly an electric motor. We also see a similar unit near the rear axle. So two electric motors for the study model. The battery pack is apparently located under the passenger compartment in the bottom of the car.
Lexus LF-30 Electrified Concept
Lexus’ upcoming showpiece, according to the brand, gives a glimpse of what we can expect in the design field in the future. With the first teaser photo, Lexus already revealed that the car will have a relatively steeply sloping roofline. This makes it appear to be a coupé-SUV. Design influences from the 2019 LF-30 and the LF-1 Limitless from a year earlier also seem to be incorporated. More later this week!
