In terms of cosmetics, it is therefore fine, but the cheerful colors are not the only thing that the Logitech G733 features. Weighing only 278 grams, this is probably the lightest wireless gaming headset we’ve ever tested. That weight benefits the wearing comfort. The headband consists of two parts. A plastic part that holds the ear cups together and an elastic headband that rests on your skull. The ear cups are sufficiently pressed against the side of your head and thanks to the weight you hardly notice that the headband is on your head. An excellent design, although the fabric ear cups allow a little more sound through compared to the Logitech Pro X that we were able to try out earlier.
Sound quality
The sound quality is fine. The sound is pure both while gaming and listening to music. The high and low tones sound deep and spacious. If you use the headset on the PC, the G HUB software can be used to enable DTS X 2.0 surround sound (a kind of virtual surround sound), which makes the sound a lot more spacious. This is, especially during gaming, a welcome feature that certainly adds to the experience.
Like the Logitech Pro X headsets, the Logitech G733 supports the Blue Vo! Ce technology. With this you can improve the voice sound with preset filters. That is also recommended for the microphone that comes with the G733. While the basic sound isn’t dramatically bad, we don’t find sound to write home either. Certainly the somewhat heavier voice will not look very nice without Blue Vo! Ce technology. Fortunately, the Blue Vo! Ce software makes that clearly audible.
Lighting
You can also control the RGB lighting via the G HUB software. You can choose from various effects, including changing the colors to the rhythm of the music or a number of fixed colors that you can give a breathable effect, for example.
You can achieve the maximum duration of 29 hours if you switch off the lighting, with lighting the 20 hours indicated on the website are achievable. Charging can be done via the USB-C port on the bottom of the headset. On the same ear cup you will also find the on and off button, mute button for the microphone and a rotary knob for the volume.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for a cheerful headset with good sound and great comfort, the Logitech G733 is a great headset. In our opinion, the price tag of 149 euros is justifiable if you use the headset for the PC. This is partly because the G HUB software add many features that make the headset extra interesting. Those who only want to use the headset on the game consoles better search a little further.
