The new design is particularly striking, because Apple has adjusted the casing for the first time since 2010. The Mac mini 2024 is now smaller than ever, with a depth and width of just 12.7 centimeters.
The height of the Mac mini 2024 is 5 centimeters, making the device extremely small. This is also reflected in the weight, because the device weighs only 0.67 kilograms if you choose the version with the M4 chip. Are you going for the M4 Pro chip? Then the device is slightly heavier at 0.73 kilograms. So the Mac is smaller than ever, but that’s not all. This is Apple’s first Mac that is produced COâ‚‚ neutral.
New features on the Mac
Not only has the design of the Mac been overhauled, the device is also equipped with a new processor. The Mac mini 2024 runs on the M4 or M4 Pro chip, which are the most powerful processors that Apple currently uses. The new generation of the small Mac comes with 16 GB of RAM as standard. - Mac mini 2024 M4 256 GB (16 GB RAM): 719 euros
- Mac mini 2024 M4 512 GB (16 GB RAM): 949 euros
- Mac mini 2024 M4 Pro 512 GB (24 GB RAM): 1179 euros
With this starting price, this Mac is considered the entry-level model of all versions of the Mac (Book). For a relatively low price you get the M4 chip, 16 GB of RAM and no fewer than five USB-C connections. This makes the Mac mini 2024 extremely interesting if you do not want to pay the top price for a new computer, but want to be equipped with the latest functions.
