Good news for those who are tired of picking crushed flies out of their teeth after every ride. McLaren comes with a special version of the exclusive Elva that does have a windscreen.
The Elva, proposed in 2019, is an open hypercar limited to 149 pieces that has always had to do without a windscreen until now. This is now about to change. McLaren is expanding the Elva range with a version that, thanks to a real windscreen, prevents your face from transforming into that of a pug while driving.
McLaren Elva
The McLaren Elva with windscreen is about 20 kilos heavier than the model without. Automatic windshield wipers, washers and sun visors are also part of those twenty extra pounds. According to the manufacturer, this has no negative consequences for the performance. The McLaren must be able to sprint to a speed of 100 km / h in 2.8 counts and those who have patience for 6.8 seconds can race at 200 km / h on the highway. The windscreen can no longer be removed after installation. The Elva with windscreen will go on sale at the end of this year. Prices are not there yet.
