Mercedes-Benz releases the first photos of camouflaged test models from the EQA, the next fully electric model of the brand. The unveiling will take place later this year.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC will have a little brother, the EQA, this year. The brand is currently conducting intensive tests with the new model in northern Sweden. In the photos released by the brand we see stickered prototypes driving through the snow.

Mercedes-Benz calls the EQA in the press release “the electric nephew of the GLA”, which makes it immediately clear how we should position the car. In 2017, the brand already showed the Concept EQA, but that is more a sporty hatchback than an SUV. The production version will therefore have few similarities with the study model.

The EQA is smaller and becomes more affordable than the luxury EQC, which Mercedes-Benz has been in showrooms since the end of last year. Information about driving range, power and performance is not yet known, Mercedes-Benz will announce it later this year.
