Netflix recently raised its prices significantly again. But the popular streaming service is not the only one that has become more expensive lately. If you have multiple streaming services, it quickly becomes very expensive. Fortunately, you can easily adjust your Netflix subscription. You can then opt for a cheaper subscription. We’ll show you how to do that here.
To adjust the account you need to open the Netflix website in a browser. Via the settings of the Netflix app on your iPhone you will ultimately be sent to the website to change the subscription. That’s why you better go straight to the website.
Change your Netflix subscription via the website
- Open the browser on your iPhone (or on a laptop) and surf to the website netflix.com;
- Tap the ‘Login’ button;
- Log in with your account details;
- Then choose ‘Manage account’ when you see this option;
- Go to ‘Change subscription’;
- You will now see an overview of your current subscription. You can choose from three variants ‘Basic, Standard and Premium’;
- Select the subscription you want and tap ‘Continue’;
- Tap ‘Confirm’ and your new subscription will start on the next billing period.
If you decide to switch, it’s nice that Netflix makes the change almost immediately. You don’t have to worry about your ongoing episodes or profiles, because everything remains as you are used to. Only the quality and options change.
In any case, it is smart to regularly check whether you are still satisfied with your Netflix subscription and change it if necessary. A small adjustment can easily save a few euros per month. This way, streaming remains fun and affordable.
