New Honda Civic ready for debut

Honda will pull the curtain off the Civic Prototype next week, a very production-ready precursor to the all-new Honda Civic.

Do you find the current generation Honda Civic too eccentrically designed? Then wait a little longer. Honda comes with a new generation of its compact middle class, which is a lot more conventional for the day. On November 17, Honda will show the Civic Prototype, a concrete and almost production-ready preview of the new Civic. We can already show you some snippets.

Honda seems to be pushing the new Civic Sedan forward as a Prototype next week. It is immediately noticeable that the new Sedan actually looks like a sedan this time. The current model has very strong similarities with the Civic Hatchback. The forthcoming Civic Sedan, on the other hand, looks more like a conventional sedan than the current Accord.

Calmed down

Techzle was previously able to show a series of patent plates of both the new Civic Sedan and Civic Hatchback. The Hatchback is also given a much milder design. It is done with the large rear spoiler that cuts the rear window in half and also the boomerang-shaped taillights are crumpled up and in a smooth motion aided into the afterlife. The Hatchback gets a third side window and, like the Sedan, has a quieter-looking front with wider headlights. It all looks less eccentric, but more mature.

We do not expect the eleventh generation to be on the market before 2021. It is of course certain that there will also be a fierce Type-R. Click here for all patent plates of the yet to be revealed new Honda Civic!
