Jaguar carried out a facelift on the F-Pace in September and immediately introduced a plug-in hybrid variant. A new F-Pace SVR kept Jaguar under wraps for a while. Until today! The youngest F-Pace is more powerful than ever.
Highlights
- More torque for 5.0 V8
- Faster and more comfortable
- New design, inside and out
- Starting price: € 158,820
The recently facelifted Jaguar F-Pace can only be distinguished from the outside by connoisseurs from the original presented in 2016. The interior was revised more radically. In fact, that was almost completely new. Just as interesting is the brand new plug-in hybrid version of the F-Pace. Jaguar is now introducing the absolute top version of the F-Pace range. We welcome: the Jaguar F-Pace SVR.
Introduced in 2018, the SVR version of the Jaguar F-Pace squeezed 550 hp and 680 Nm from a 5.0-liter supercharged V8. This F-Pace SVR goes beyond that. Although the number of horsepower remains unchanged at 550 units, the F-Pace SVR does squeeze more torque from its eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF coupled eight-cylinder. The 5.0 V8 produces 700 Nm of torque. The trained SUV thus thunders to 100 km / h in 4 seconds. Its top speed: 286 km / h. This makes it slightly faster than its predecessor. Before the facelift, the F-Pace SVR took 0.3 seconds longer over the 0-100 sprint and the top speed was 283 km / h.
Jaguar is spooning more than just a more powerful V8 in the updated F-Pace SVR. For example, the brand says to have improved the Dynamic driving mode and to have added the Dynamic Launch function. With the latter system, the wheels also remain driven during gear changes, which promotes acceleration. More adjustments? Certainly. Jaguar indicates to have improved the steering and also says to have adjusted the chassis. The SVR must offer more comfort at lower speeds, among other things. Jaguar also places larger and more powerful brakes behind the alloy wheels. Both front and rear, the brake discs have a diameter of almost 40 centimeters.
Jaguar F-Pace
On the outside, the F-Pace SVR benefits from the same changes as its tamer family members. So it gets new LED headlights with Double J-shaped daytime running lights. The spoiler and bumper work again looks very exuberant, although Jaguar has slightly adjusted the design. At the rear we see the now well-known modified rear lights and at the bottom of the buttocks hang, just like before, four thick tailpipes. The cW value drops thanks to the changed spoiler work from 0.37 to 0.36 cW. It should come as no surprise that Jaguar is also providing the F-Pace SVR with a completely revised interior, complete with PiviPro system.
The starting price of the latest Jaguar F-Pace SVR is € 158,820. You can order immediately.
