New Mercedes-Benz S-class from every angle

Mercedes-Benz has not been able to keep the brand new S-class under the cap until the big reveal, because the flagship of the German brand has leaked on the French Worldscoop. Nice for us: we see the new S-class from every angle.

It’s no secret that Mercedes-Benz is developing an all-new generation of the S-class. After a career of seven years, it is also time for the current S-class to throw it out. Since 2018, it has been hard to guess how often the new generation has been camouflaged, because the developers have taken ample time to test the car on public roads. However, real leaked images of the final carriage did not materialize, until now!

Although it can be clearly seen that it is an S-class, Mercedes-Benz has completely renewed the car all around. The trend to make the grille at the front of a car a bit bigger, is not overlooked by the nose of the S-class. The headlamps have been designed according to Mercedes’ new design style and are most likely equipped with the latest LED matrix technologies as standard. At the rear, Mercedes draws significantly tighter tail lights, which are connected by a continuous chrome strip.

Inside, the MBUX multimedia system is split in two. A fairly wide screen is placed behind the wheel and for the first time a gigantic second screen finds its way into the center tunnel. If you want to make the comparison per se: indeed, it looks a lot like the screen from the Tesla Model S. However, the screen in the Mercedes looks a bit bigger. Furthermore, there is little fuss on the dashboard. The leaked photos also show the back seat. There, as can be expected, passengers can wallow in unprecedented luxury. In total we have three screens: in front of both rear passengers and in the armrest for personal control of, for example, the climate in the back of the S-class.

Just like now, expect plug-in hybrid powertrains, but not a fully electric variant. Mercedes is working on an electric brother in the form of the EQS. The introduction of the new S-class is scheduled for later this year.
