New owner David Brown Automotive

David Brown Automotive sells its majority stake in its own company to UK Advanced Industrials Limited. This gives the stubborn English company a new owner.

David Brown Automotive was founded in 2013, a quirky company with large classic English-made models. In David Brown Automotive pulled the canvas of the Speedback GT, a Jaguar XK-based hand-built coupe with a 5.0-V8 in its muzzle. That very retro-looking coupé was joined in 2017 by the Mini Remastered, a modernized version of the primal Mini whose price tag deterred just as much as it makes its appearance greedy. David Brown Automotive more or less puts himself in the shop window and gets rid of his majority interest.

The UK UK Advanced Industrials Limited may in fact call itself the new owner of the company. Founder David Brown, who, although his name suggests otherwise, has nothing to do with the Aston Martin founder of the same name, will remain involved with the company as Company Director and brand ambassador. According to David Brown Automotive, new investments from the new owner UK Advanced Industrials Limited enable it to expand further. Eddie Kembery becomes the new CEO of David Brown Automotive. Kembery previously held various management positions at Ford, Honda and Aston Martin, among others. David Brown Automotive says he wants to become “a major player in the exclusive segment” that produces special cars in small quantities.
