Bad news if you are waiting for new AirPods Pro, because they are rumored to be even more expensive. That’s how much you’re going to pay.
New AirPods Pro 3
A new version of the AirPods Pro 3 is coming! Apple released the third generation of the AirPods Pro in September 2025 and provided the earphones with a number of advanced features. The most noticeable improvement is the heart rate sensor, which registers your heart rate when you wear the AirPods Pro 3 while exercising. In addition, Apple has improved noise cancellation and sound quality with the new generation of the AirPods Pro 3.
It is now clear that we have not yet seen all the functions of the AirPods Pro 3. Apple is reportedly working on a new version of the earphones, which will be equipped with infrared cameras. These cameras are intended to record hand gestures and the environment. Does that sound good? Then we have bad news, because the next version of the AirPods Pro 3 will be much more expensive due to this improvement.
AirPods Pro even more expensive
The AirPods Pro 3 are currently Apple’s most expensive earphones. You can get the AirPods Pro 3 from Apple for 249 euros, while from other providers you pay €238.95. That’s a big difference with the regular AirPods, because you get the AirPods 4 for € 126.95. With the advanced version of the AirPods Pro 3, this difference becomes even greater, because the expected price is no less 299 euros.
The price increase is not entirely surprising, because Apple launched the AirPods Pro 2 for the same price. The company introduced a surprising price reduction of fifty euros for the AirPods Pro 3. This price reduction is probably related to the more expensive version of the AirPods Pro 3, which will follow later this year and will be equipped with infrared cameras. You will soon be able to choose from two versions of the third generation AirPods Pro.
Release of the new AirPods
It is not the first time that Apple has released two versions of one generation of AirPods. The AirPods 4 are already available in a version with and without noise reduction. The price difference between these versions is also fifty euros. For the AirPods 4 without noise cancellation you pay 149 euros, the advanced version costs 199 euros. There is therefore a good chance that Apple will apply a similar price ratio to the AirPods Pro 3.
It is not yet clear when the more expensive version of the AirPods Pro 3 will appear. Apple is expected to release the new version at least this year.
