And that’s two

Barely two weeks after Nio opened its first so-called Power Swap Station in the Netherlands, the company has opened its second battery swap station. It is not in Tilburg like the first one, but in Apeldoorn.
Tesla has the Supercharger network, Nio has Power Swap Stations. Power Swap Stations are not charging stations, but battery exchange stations where you can exchange the empty battery pack of your Nio for a battery pack that is up to 90 percent fully charged in a matter of minutes. At the beginning of December, Nio opened its first Dutch Power Swap Station and now the second has sprung up in Apeldoorn.
Nio’s second Power Swap Station is located in the parking lot of Hotel Van der Valk Exclusive on the A50. Nio wants to have a comprehensive network of battery exchange stations not only in the Netherlands, but throughout Europe. By next year there should be 120 Power Swap Stations in Europe.
At the current Power Swap Stations, up to 312 batteries can be exchanged daily. In the battery exchange stations, which are about the size of two garage boxes, up to 13 battery packs can be charged simultaneously with a charging capacity of 20 kWh to 80 kWh. Nio recently announced the prices of its first three models intended for the Netherlands: the ET5, ET7 and EL7. They are available with and without batteries. In the latter case, you rent the 75 kWh or 100 kWh large batteries for a fixed monthly amount.
