Nokia X20 receives Android 12 update in the Netherlands

Nokia is rolling out the Android 12 update for its X20 phone. It is the first Nokia smartphone that can work with the new version of Android 12. According to the brand, Dutch and Belgian users will receive the update on December 17 at the latest.

The Nokia X20 was the only phone from HMD Global to participate in the Android 12 beta period. It is therefore not entirely surprising that Nokia is the first to update the X20 users to the new version. on his blog the Finnish brand announced that the update will be rolled out by December 17 in select markets, including the Netherlands and Belgium.

The update has build version V2.350 and takes up 2.18 GB. As we are used to from Nokia, the Android 12 update also contains a bare software experience without many Nokia extras. The main improvements are therefore the new privacy features, the Material You theme, the conversations widget. Nokia is (quite) fast

Nokia is not the first manufacturer to roll out the Android 12 update. Google previously rolled out the update to its Pixels and Samsung has already provided several flagships with an update. OnePlus also rolled out the update, but it was subsequently withdrawn.

We can say that Nokia is relatively quick, given that it took until February this year before the Nokia 8.3 5G received the Android 11 update. Nokia then also did not participate in the beta version of Android 11, and now the brand has been able to test the software for longer, so that the stable update is ready earlier.
