With the new app you can, as the name suggests, dive very deep into the ocean with your Apple Watch Ultra. The app serves to track underwater swimming and measures up to 40 meters depth. A real app for the divers among us.
What exactly can you do with Oceanic+?
With Oceanic+, your Apple Watch Ultra automatically shows the water temperature and depth as soon as your cup goes under. You plan your trip completely in advance, including a decompression algorithm. This prevents you from going back up too quickly and contracting caisson disease.
The app also provides even more information, such as the maximum allowed diving depth and the settings of your planned dive trip. When you’re back on land, share your dive information with your friends. And not just with your friends: the app makes it possible to share your information with divers from all over the world.
Oceanic+ available for free on the App Store
Oceanic+ for your Apple Watch Ultra is now free to download from the App Store. The basic package of the app is completely free and contains most of the basic data you need when diving. This includes data such as the depth and duration of your dive and information from your recent dives.
Don’t you think this is enough information? Then you can purchase a more extensive package for €10.49 per month or €90.99 per year. Here you can see, among other things, the decompression algorithm and you have unlimited access to your logbook. Are you only going to dive for a day? For €1.19 you can buy a kind of day ticket for the extended version of the dive computer.
To download the Oceanic+ app, you must have watchOS 9.1 installed on your Apple Watch Ultra and have an iPhone 8 or later. Your iPhone must be running iOS 16.1 to download the app.
