Dacia Duster Commercial

Dacia recently gave all its models a facelift in one fell swoop. At least, almost all his models. The order version of the Dacia Duster has now also been upgraded. But wait, pre-order version?

Dacia put almost all its models on the cutting table in June. All cars of the brand were fitted with the new Dacia logo, which was placed in a new grille, which often consisted of stripes. Now we are also introduced to the renewed order version of the Duster, a variant that you may not know at all.

Dacia does not sell the Duster Commercial in the Netherlands. This of course has to do with the requirements set by Dutch law for cars with gray license plates, which the Duster Commercial does not meet. Nevertheless, we do not miss the opportunity to introduce the Duster Commercial to you. It is not for nothing that we associate the time with cucumbers.

Fair is fair: the Duster Commercial is almost identical to the regular renewed Duster and so the Duster-with-grey license plate also has a new log in its snout and a new grille. The model name is no longer written in large on the back. Instead, the brand name is written in the new familiar font. The windows of the rear doors, the rear side windows and the rear window are of course closed in the Duster Commercial. Incidentally, the external adjustments are so thin that the English branch of Dacia that presents the Duster Commercial has decided to run the old press photos through Photoshop.

How practical is the Duster Commercial? Pretty decent. A rear seat is missing and therefore the luggage space has a capacity of no less than 1,623 liters. The maximum payload is 503 kilos. However, there is no fixed partition behind the front seats and so the Duster Commercial is immediately canceled by the Dutch tax authorities. Although the cargo space of the Duster Commercial with a depth of 1.79 is deep enough, it is not high enough at 92 cm. The minimum height must be 98 centimeters. Here you can read more about the requirements set by Dutch law for cars with gray registration.

The Duster Commercial is not the only Duster version that we do not know in the Netherlands. For example, the Duster in South America has a Renault brother with an open body: the Oroch.
