From 1 May you pay a lot more service costs if you use Easypark – time to see which alternatives are worth it.
Parking with Easypark is becoming considerably more expensive
So far you pay at Easypark 0.39 euros Service costs per parking promotion, in addition to the actual parking costs. However, that will change from 1 May. Not only in the rate, but also in the way the service costs are determined.
From that moment on you pay service costs 15 percent of the total parking costs. A minimum rate of 0.19 euros per hour and a maximum rate of 0.70 euros per hour applies. Although you can be a little cheaper in this way if you only park for a short time, the users of the parking service are not happy with the change.
And that is understandable. Because when you park for a long time, you quickly pay a lot more than now. If you now park somewhere for four hours for a rate of three euros per hour, you pay 0.39 euros on top of the 12 euros parking costs. If you do that from 1 May, you pay 15 percent of 12 euros (or 1.80 euros) on top of those 12 euros. The maximum amount of service costs is 7 euros per parking session.
