Starting from iOS 17.4, it is possible to choose the default browser on your iPhone. Which default browser have you set on your iPhone?
Poll: Which default browser do you have set on your iPhone?
Since iOS 17.4, a few things have changed on your iPhone. Since the update, you can finally really choose a different default browser. Previously, all browsers still had to run on Apple’s Webkit. This gave you the appearance of a different browser, but Safari was still running under the hood.

At this time, most browsers have not yet been updated, but they probably will be. At iPhoned we would therefore like to know which browser you use on your iPhone. For a complete overview, we therefore ask you to complete the poll below.
Are you still on Safari or have you switched? Would you like to explain why you chose a specific browser? Then you can write it down below this article in the comments.

Browser choice on iPhone: this is required by the EU
The fact that you are now really allowed to set a different browser on your iPhone is the result of European legislation. When you open Safari for the first time in iOS 17.4 or newer, you will also see a new browser selection screen. In this screen you will be given the option (EU only) to choose a default browser from a list of options.
