Porsche Cayenne Coupé GTS hunts over the Nürburgring

Choice stress. With no model, Porsche makes it easy for you. From the 718 series to the Macan and from the 911 to the Panamera and the Cayenne: Porsche offers you a wide range of versions to choose from. The Cayenne’s delivery list will be expanded in the foreseeable future with yet another new flavor: the GTS. The Cayenne Coupé was caught in GTS trim during the making of test laps on the famous Nürburgring.

Although it is abundantly clear that Porsche has started testing with a new variant of the Cayenne Coupé, it is still unclear what exactly the men and women in Zuffenhausen have in the barrel. The corridors talk about a variant called GTS, a version that normally closes the gap between the S and Turbo versions. If that positioning remains unchanged, it would mean that this Cayenne Coupé GTS will have a power of somewhere between 440 hp and 550 hp. Porsche already has the 462 hp E-Hybrid in those power regions. German media write, among other things, about the possibility that the GTS will become an extremely powerful hybrid variant, thanks to electrical support no less than 800 hp, which should become the absolute king of the Cayenne range.

What is hidden under the hood of this new taste is therefore still a mystery. We can already highlight some interesting details. For example, Porsche not only placed two fake chutes on either side of the rear bumper, but we also see two more centrally placed units. We know that design element from the 911 GTS and that is why it is thought that this new variant will be called GTS. Porsche may release more information later this year on this still-shrouded new Cayenne Coupé variant.

Fortunately, those who do not want to wait can already choose from an extensive range of Cayenne variants. The delivery list starts with a 340 hp version simply called Cayenne Coupé, a type that should recognize its superior in the 440 hp Cayenne S Coupé and the E-Hybrid with 462 hp. That hybrid must then tolerate the 550 hp Cayenne Turbo Coupé and the plug-in hybrid Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé with 680 hp above it.
