Using the Notes application you can easily compose documents. Useful if you want to write down certain thoughts or when you compile certain lists. You can print the notes via the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
This can be useful if you have put together a shopping list and want to use it in the supermarket. Printing a note from a Mac is quite easy, but on an iPhone or iPad it’s a different story and even more difficult.
Print notes via iPhone or iPad
- Open the notes app
- Navigate to the note you want to print and open it
- Tap the share button at the top
- Then choose ‘Print’

Then choose a suitable printer that uses AirPrint. You can then print the note and close the app again.
It is quite illogical to choose ‘Send copy’, but this is actually Apple’s well-known sharing menu. Behind the share menu under iOS and iPadOS you will usually find the print option.
Print notes from a Mac
Printing notes is much easier on a Mac. Open the note you want to print and click on File ▸ Print in the menu bar. You can also use the key combination command⌘ + P to start printing immediately.
