Look for the differences
The updated Volkswagen Golf will have its official unveiling this month, but can already largely be seen. As expected, the changes are subtle.
Not for the first time, an early image of the facelifted Volkswagen Golf has emerged. It just hasn’t been as clear as this image. We would like to thank a number of forum members from Cochespias therefore for sharing the photos, which allegedly come from German media. It looks like someone was too enthusiastic after a presentation of the Golf.
In the photos we see, among other things, the facelifted Volkswagen Golf GTI, which clearly gets significantly larger (fake or otherwise) air intakes in its front bumper. This also applies to the Golf R and Golf GTE, which have also appeared in the picture. It is also noticeable that all these sporty(er) versions of the Golf can now be recognized by their doors, because they now also contain the type designation. New wheels are also included. Like a forum member on Cochespias as already pointed out, those of the GTI have a fairly high Alfa Romeo content.
Other changes that catch the eye are the slightly modified light units. Especially at the back we clearly see a slightly different light signature. The new infotainment is unmissable in the interior previously shown. Small but also quite big news is the return of physical buttons on the steering wheel. Good news for those who were not a fan of the touch-sensitive ones that were there before. Apparently those were enough people for Volkswagen to take a step back. Later this month we will hear and see more about the updated Volkswagen Golf.
