Portable SSD T9 PR dl3 2

The Samsung T9 SSD is a compact aluminum model with dimensions of 88 x 60 x 14 mm and a weight of 122 grams. It is equipped with a luxurious, non-slip rubber coating that should easily survive a fall of up to approximately three meters.

Use Samsung T9
The Samsung T9 is an SSD for use where large files are primarily used, such as video and film processing. These files are becoming increasingly larger, because the resolution of the image is increasing and has now increased from full HD, 4K and 8K to 12K. It is therefore clear that the size of the files also increases significantly. The transfer and processing of this type of file will be slowed down if you do not have a fast medium with high capacity and speed. And because the transfer speed of the T9 is high, the files can be processed directly from the SSD, which prevents copying and therefore allows you to work more effectively.

Technology
The T9 is available in three variants with gross 1, 2 or 4 TB of data storage. In combination with this, the SSD has a cache memory for optimizing the data transfer from or to the SSD. 22, 88 and 180 GB. When using high transfer speeds and large files for long periods of time, the device may become warm. To prevent this, heat-conducting materials have been used, such as aluminum and silicone, and the power consumption of the T9 has been optimized, so that less heat is created. The chance of reducing the transfer speed, the so-called throttling, is therefore severely limited. The T9 works with all USB variants, connection cables are included with a USB-A and a USB-C connector, but the maximum speed is only achieved in combination with a 20Gbps or USB 3.2 Gen2x2 connection.

Software support
The T9 can be used in combination with all available operating systems. The Samsung Magician 8.0+ management software for monitoring the SSD and any firmware updates is available for Windows and macOS. 256bit encryption software is installed on the SSD for optional activation in Windows, macOS or Android.

Test results
We tested the T9 in combination with a high-end multimedia system and achieved sequential read and write speeds of around 2000/1815 MB/s when using Windows 11 and the CrystalDiskMark test tool.

Conclusion
This T9 represents a new generation of portable SSDs that achieve sublime transfer speeds, opening up new possibilities for more effective work. The warranty has been increased to 5 years. You pay a little more for the higher speed than the T7.
