Sonos

The successor to the first portable and excellent Sonos speaker with WiFi and Bluetooth has the same slim and oval design and most of the keys are on top. There is now a handle and also a groove at the top that makes it easier to make the sound louder and softer. The durable and robust housing has a pleasant IP56 rating. It also has an additional D-class amplifier (now 3); All in all, the high and mid frequencies are reproduced beautifully, crisply and clearly and there is a nice, deep bass. The 2 tweeters are placed in such a way that they should approximate a stereo effect, which can be heard at a short distance.

Installation is a breeze thanks to the user-friendly app. With Trueplay tuning, the speaker adjusts itself to best match the sound to the environment. In principle, you use the WiFi connection at home, so that when your smartphone leaves the room, you continue to hear music. Outside you stream via Bluetooth. There are more than 100 streaming services and multiple voice assistants.

Another major improvement: the new 44Wh battery lasts up to 24 hours and if it ever runs out, there is a spare battery (89 euros). You can also charge your smartphone via the USB-C connection (reverse). In terms of colors, you can choose from real black, white and olive green.

The Sonos Move 2 has really improved on a number of points, unfortunately the recommended retail price has increased by 100 euros, so the price could still be better…
