The app enriches the route information with additional data. This way you will also receive notifications about dangerous situations and accidents while navigating. Traffic information is also displayed during navigation. If there are flash checks, a notification follows. The type of transport is also taken into account: for example, if there is a traffic jam and you are a motorcyclist, you will not immediately see a detour and you may still be able to drive more slowly between the traffic jams.
The app makes smart use of the user community and therefore asks users to share information about the route with the rest of the users. This involves different types of information. For example, you can inquire at which locations the fuel price is most favourable. During the ride itself, you can use other features, such as listening to music or podcasts. The makers also support planning a route via Waze’s website, after which you can share the directions with your phone. Speaking of links, you can also link other sources of information to Waze, such as your calendar. The route and departure time are determined based on your agreements.
