Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. The new premium earphones from Samsung should be a major update compared to its predecessor, especially in terms of sound.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are the new premium earphones from Samsung and are the successor to the Galaxy Buds Pro that appeared at the beginning of last year. The Buds 2 Pro come with a few nice improvements over this first generation Buds Pro. For example, the sound has gone from 12-bit to 24-bit audio, something that will certainly be heard in the sound quality. In addition, the Buds 2 Pro have become 15% smaller in size, but the ANC, active noise canceling, must have been significantly improved. According to Samsung, this should filter out no less than 40 percent more noise compared to the ‘normal’ Buds Pro.
Much better sound
As mentioned above, the Buds 2 Pro support 24-bit sound instead of 12-bit sound. This should ensure that the sound quality is significantly improved. Due to this 24-bit audio, the Buds 2 Pro could also play audio in Hifi, High fidelity. In short, this means that sound is played with little distortion. The sound will even have to be close to the original recording quality. However, Samsung does not specifically name the word “Hifi” in itself, but calls it “Samsung Seamless Codex Hifi”. What they mean by that, and whether the earphones really support Hi-Fi, is not yet entirely clear.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro would also have 360-degree audio and support for Bluetooth 5.3. This is the latest version of the Bluetooth standard. Finally, the earphones can easily switch between different devices. Samsung calls this ‘Auto Switch’. This allows you to easily switch between the sound on your smartphone and the sound on your laptop with a single touch.
