Samsung is busy preparing a new Galaxy Unpacked where three new products are expected to be announced. New rumors now give an exact date on which this event would be scheduled.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked on August 11
The Galaxy Unpacked event has not yet been officially announced by Samsung, but it will be sometime next month. In 2020, Samsung announced on July 20 that Unpacked would take place on August 5. In 2021, Samsung announced on July 21 that Unpacked would take place on August 11. Rumor spreader Jon Prosser says in a tweet Samsung has scheduled the event for August 10 this year.
At this Galaxy Unpacked event, we expect to see the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the Galaxy Watch 5. Possibly also the Galaxy Buds Pro 2. Prosser also thinks he knows in which colors the different Galaxy Watch 5 versions will come on the market and when they will be in stores:
Galaxy Watch 5 (40mm)
- Phantom Black, Silver, Pink Gold
Galaxy Watch 5 (44mm)
- Phantom Black, Silver, Sapphire (blue)
Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (46mm)
- Phantom Black, Silver
So the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5 would be on August 10. Then the pre-orders will start immediately. You can order the smartwatch immediately from that date. The watch will then hit stores on August 26. Earlier this month dived the colors of the folding Galaxy smartphones also on:
Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Graphite, Bora Purple, Pink Gold, Sapphire
Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Phantom Black, beige, gray
Prices and availability
We expect the prices of the Z Flip 4 to roughly match those of the Z Flip 3. So starting at 999 euros for the variant with 128 GB of storage. The variants with 256 GB and 512 GB of storage should cost EUR 1049 and EUR 1099 respectively. The Z Fold 3 received a suggested retail price of 1,799 euros.
Just like last year, Samsung will plan a virtual launch, which can be followed via a live stream via Samsung and here on Androidworld. According to these rumours, you can order the products on August 10 and view them in stores on August 26.
