New photos have leaked, reportedly showing the charging cables for the iPhone 15. The first iPhones with a USB-C connection will appear this year, so that the cables will also look slightly different. Pictures of these cables have now surfaced for the first time on Chinese social media. The new charging cables are quite different from the current Lightning cables.

The biggest difference is of course the connection, because Apple is switching from Lightning to USB-C this year due to new European legislation. That’s not the only difference, because the cables for the iPhone 15 are made of braided material. As a result, the charging cables last a lot longer and are sturdier. And that’s not all, because the cables also reveal the new color of the iPhone 15.
Charging cables match the new colors
It is immediately noticeable that the charging cables no longer have the traditional white color that we are used to from Apple. Instead, the cables presumably have the same color as the housing of the iPhone 15. This means that we also know in which colors the iPhone 15 will be released. The new phone will reportedly appear this year in a pink and a light blue version.
The cables now seem to confirm these rumors, because they then match the color of the iPhone 15. Earlier, Apple also did this with the MacBook Pro and the HomePod mini. If we have to believe the photos, the iPhone is added to this list. The cables then appear in any case in a pink, blue, purple, black and yellow version. It is still unclear whether (after the yellow iPhone 14) a yellow iPhone 15 will also appear.
Disadvantage: new charging block needed for the iPhone 15
Unfortunately, the new charging cable also comes with a disadvantage, because the cable has a USB-C connection on both sides. This means that the charging block of previous iPhones no longer connects to the new cable of the iPhone 15. Since the iPhone 12, Apple only supplies a charging cable with the new iPhones, so with the iPhone 15 you have to buy a new block yourself.

According to rumors, we see the cable for the iPhone 15 (Plus) in the photo. The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) appears in other colors, which means that other cables are also supplied with the phone.
