It is Renault news that hits the clock today. The roguish Renault 5 Prototype is the center of attention, with a Renault emblem that we have never seen before.
One brand after another reveals a vision of the future that is mainly focused on electric mobility and believes that a revised brand logo should be part of this. It seems that Renault is going along with the nations. Although Renault itself has not yet put the spotlights on, it is clear that the Renault 5 Prototype has a different variant of the ‘wiebertje’ than usual. On the one hand it is retro, with the stripes that imitate the relief in the logo of the past, on the other hand it is sleek, ‘2D’ and therefore entirely contemporary. An approach that we have already seen with many brands.
Earlier we saw at some brands that a new emblem adorned a concept car and this was later unveiled as the new brand logo. For example, the Kia Imagine Concept from 2019 already featured the new Kia logo presented earlier this month and Peugeot already showed a retro logo on the E-Legend in 2018 that was spotted on the steering wheel of the new 308. There is a good chance that Renault will follow a similar path and this will therefore become the emblem of the ‘Régie’. Then you already know.
