Bugatti has unveiled a limited edition of the Chiron Sport. The special edition pays tribute to legendary aircraft and pilots from the past.
With the ‘Les Légendes du Ciel’, christened version, Bugatti refers to his former link with airplanes and pilots. For example, drivers Albert Divo, Robert Benoist and Bartelomeo Constantini were, in addition to Bugatti drivers, also pilots in the French Air Force. Ettore Bugatti himself was also fascinated by airplanes and also designed an airplane that did not reach the production stage due to the war. Enough reason for Bugatti to provide the Chiron Sport with a number of details that refer to this.
It is immediately noticeable that the Chiron Sport has a white stripe over the entire length of the car. This contrasts sharply with the ‘Gris Serpent’ named matte gray paint; According to Bugatti, a reference to the colors of aircraft from the 1920s It goes without saying that the tricolor of France also adorns the Bugatti. Furthermore, the ‘Les Légendes du Ciel’ has a number of special emblems on both the exterior and the interior, on which the name of this special edition can be read. Naturally, this includes a sketch of the nose of a classic propeller aircraft. The leather door trim features a more elaborate illustration of a Nieuport 17 biplane flying over a Bugatti Type 13.
Bugatti will only deliver 20 Chirons Sport in this special edition and is asking for at least € 2.88 million excluding taxes. Yet just two tons more than a ‘normal’ Chiron Sport.
