The same basic guidelines as well as otherwise in sports apply to sports during lunch break:

  • If you feel sick or struck, you shouldn’t do sports. If you just had an infection, you should slowly restore yourself.
  • The weather can also thwart you. Rain does not have to prevent you from activity. Nevertheless, it should be clear to you that you are soaked afterwards and therefore you should always have changing clothes.
  • But even when the weather is good in summer, there are a few things to consider: the midday heat is most intense. If you do sports in the heat, you should reduce the intensity of your training and drink more water than usual.
  • If you want to integrate sports into your lunch break, you should be aware that the time for a healthy lunch ceases to exist. If you took food with you and you can eat it during work, of course that’s practical. Nevertheless, there are professions in which you cannot eat on the side. Either you keep your workout so short that there is still time to eat, or you do without a big lunch. Sports on empty stomach can also have advantages and disadvantages. If in doubt, you should listen to your body and pay attention to what is best for you.
