Sutton VIP LEVC is Rolls-Royce of taxis

The English Sutton Bespoke has presented a very opulent version of the LEVC TX. The spiritual successor to the ‘London taxi’ debuts as Sutton VIP Class LEVC, a lavishly dressed model with a hefty price tag.

The TX from The London EV Company (LEVC) was presented in 2017 as the spiritual successor to the old London taxis. The company, which is part of the Chinese Geely, now also sells an order version of the TX, but a VIP version is still missing from the line-up. The English company Sutton Bespoke is cleverly responding to this with this Sutton VIP Class LEVC.

The Sutton VIP Class LEVC has an interior that is finished with leather and Alcantara down to the smallest niches. The wear-resistant rubber floor mats of the regular TX end in the trash can and make way for a thick carpet. Wood veneer on the door panels? From the party. The same goes for a large glass panoramic roof. An extensive audio system, a TV receiver and a Playstation 4 game console are also part of the opulence with which Sutton Bespoke overloads the car. The rear passengers not only have a thick soft center armrest for the necessary comfort, they also benefit from the presence of a refrigerator. The passengers are separated from the driver by a retractable wall. Comfort for the driver has also been thought of. In the front you sit on an extensive electrically adjustable and leather-covered seat.

The powertrain is not tampered with, which means that this luxurious LEVC TX is also an EV with a range extender. The TX has a 150 hp electric motor and a 31 kWh battery pack. A 1.5 three-cylinder acts as a range extender, which charges the battery pack when it is empty. The TX itself always runs on electric power. The price for all this beauty? According to Sutton Bespoke, as a private individual, you should count on an amount of around € 132,000.
