Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen makes a comeback with Swing Copters 2, a game that is perhaps even trickier than the original and again controlled by rhythmically tapping the screen.

Better than the original?
Just like Flappy Bird and the first Swing Copters, this game is also simple in design, but difficult to control and therefore probably (too) frustrating for many. Just like in the original, Swing Copters 2 requires you to tap the left and right sides of the screen to maneuver a male wearing a propeller hat through gates. In addition, large hammers that swing back and forth provide an extra degree of difficulty. In addition, your man will not fly up in a straight line, which makes it difficult to get a high score in this endless game.
By playing and collecting medals, you can also unlock new characters this time. They look slightly different and have different controls. This allows them to flip faster (or slower) when you tap the image or take off more quickly. Swing Copters 2 therefore has more depth than its predecessor, although it is still not a game you want to play for hours on end.
Graphically, Swing Copters 2 has been slightly improved, with new environments, characters and menus. There are also funny cutscenes if you managed to unlock a character. The game is again free to play, although it contains ads that you remove for an in-app purchase of 99 cents. You can also unlock characters for a fee if you don’t succeed in achieving a higher score.
