The A-segmenters shine in the list below in any case because of their absence. Just like the B-segmenters, by the way. It only starts with the C-segment with the Golf, the Focus and the Octavia. Also striking: in terms of high and low legs, the list favors the cars that are lower to the ground. Only the Skoda Enyaq, Volvo XC40, Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson are higher on their wheels. This is a striking fact, especially given the current trend of crossovers and SUVs in the car world.
Mercedes-Benz C-class: the most wanted car on Carbase.
In addition, the number of EVs in this list is not too bad. The Skoda Enyaq is the only model in this list that is only available with an electric heart. The Volvo XC40 is extremely popular in our country as P8 Recharge, but is also still supplied with combustion engines and hybrid powertrains. This is also the case for the other models in this list. Furthermore, the lack of the Kia Niro is striking, in terms of sales numbers the most popular car in the Netherlands. Apparently the need to include the Korean in a search or comparison was not very great.
The premium Germans are in any case well represented. The Mercedes-Benz C-class was the most sought after, but the BMW 3-series is also a welcome guest at CarBase. The Audi A4 is nowhere to be seen. Also of the Tesla Model 3, an important rival for the above models, there is no trace, just like of new EVs such as the Kia EV6. Perhaps the roles will be reversed next year.
