In general, Apple does improve the battery with every new iPhone. And usually that ensures that the battery life also gets a little better. In recent years there was one exception in that regard and that was the iPhone 15. Battery iPhone 17 lasts longer
At the moment we do not yet know how powerful the battery of the upcoming iPhone 17 will be. It is therefore also difficult to estimate to what extent the battery life of the iPhone 17 will increase compared to its predecessor. However, the fact that that battery life is getting longer is quite certain. We list the reasons for you.
More space
To start with, the iPhone 17 with a 6.3 inch screen is just a bit larger than the iPhone 16 with a screen of 6.1 inches. This means that there is also just a little more space for a larger battery. For this reason, we assume that the battery of the iPhone 17 has a higher capacity than the 3561 mAh of that of the iPhone 16. That is not certain, but it is obvious.
Battery with a higher density
There are also rumors that say that Apple is going to use batteries with a higher density in the iPhone 17. That would mean that a smaller battery can still have the same capacity. In combination with a larger battery, this ensures even more capacity.
An more efficient chip
The iPhone 17 is said to get the A19 chip and that is a step forward from the A18 chip that is in the iPhone 16. In addition to the extra speed that the A19 chip will undoubtedly bring, this chip is also more energy efficient. This undoubtedly has a positive effect on the battery life of the iPhone 17!
