These changes will come to the Apple Watch in 2026
The rumors we are talking about are in one message from tech website Digitimes Asia. It states, among other things, that the sale of Apple Watches in the first half of 2025 was above expectations. But it also says what we can expect from the Apple Watch line-up that will be on the market in 2026. We list the details for you.
The third quarter of 2025
According to Digitimes Asia, the sales of the Apple Watch look promising for the third quarter of this year:
“Despite challenges as a result of import duties and macro-economic factors that print the demand for consumer electronics, the supply chain confirms that the early purchasing of Apple in the first half of 2025 performs about 10 percent better than the original forecasts.”
Three changes to the Apple Watch in 2026
The Tech website also thinks that next year’s Apple Watch line will focus primarily on three aspects:
“First, the number of sensors will double, changes will be made to the appearance of the Apple Watch and thirdly, energy efficiency will be considerably improved.”
Digitimes Asia does not indicate exactly which sensors will be used in the ‘high-end Apple Watch’ models next year. The tech website does say that they will reduce the dependence on the devices of algorithmic data interpretation. This means that both the performance and the battery life of the Apple Watch could improve next year.
There have been rumors for some time that the high-end Apple Watch will get a considerable redesign in 2026. Nevertheless, Digitimes Asia believes that Apple will probably not change the circular design at the bottom of the Apple Watch. Not even when the number of sensors indeed appears to double. If all these details are correct, we may see one of the most exciting Apple Watch upgrades next year since a long time, with several new sensors and a new design!
