Apple will also present the new macOS 16 during the WWDC next month – here are 4 new features that you can expect in it.
These 4 new features come with macOS 16
The WWDC starts on Monday 9 June and then Apple will reveal all new software versions. MacOS 16 of course gets a name inspired by California, but also a number of improvements. You can expect these 4 new features on your Mac this year.
1. A whole new design
According to Mark Gurman Van Bloomberg has Apple design reviews for various platforms, including the Mac. MacOS 16 is expected to receive updates of the design that are comparable to iOS 19. This means that users must experience more consistency on all Apple devices. This means that buttons, menus and other elements probably look the same on the Mac, iPhone and iPad.
2. WiFi synchronization
When you connect to a public WiFi network, it is always annoying when a special log-up login appears. It is even worse if you have to go through the login screen individually on your iPhone, Mac and iPad. One of the new features is an upgrade in macOS 16 and iOS 19: from now on, connect to such a WiFi network on one device. Then that connection is immediately synchronized with your other devices.
3. Stage Manager 2.0
Internship manager may not be used as often on the Mac as on the iPad. Nevertheless, Apple released it on both platforms. According to rumors, Stage Manager in iPados 19 receives a major upgrade. Given the emphasis that is being placed this year on better cooperation between all platforms, it is likely that the same ‘Stage Manager 2.0’ upgrades will also come to the Mac.
4. Movement instruction Vehicle
The Movement instructions for the Vehicle Function appeared for the first time in iOS 18 and iPados 18. By research, Apple discovered that the movement disease in the car (also known as car sickness) could reduce by adding animated dots on the screen that follow the movement of the car.
From now on Mac users can use the same function in the car. If you ever have to work from the passenger seat and you suffer from motion sickness, then the function of movement instructions can make a huge difference.
