New apps for the iPhone
Two new apps will soon be coming to the iPhone! Apple has announced iOS 26, which is the biggest update in years for the smartphone. The operating system will be given a new interface, which makes almost all applications look different in iOS 26. Frequently used apps such as the photo library and settings will receive a completely new division into the next software version.
That’s not all, because your iPhone will get two new apps in 2025. These applications are automatically added to the home screen of your iPhone, after you have installed iOS 26. With the update, the new Games and Pre-Toning app will come to the iPhone. The latter has been available on the Mac (book) for years, but can finally be used on the iPhone from 2026. Games is a completely new application, which comes to the iPhone, iPad and Mac (book) in 2025.
Games and preview
With games and preview the iPhone is expanded with two new apps. The Games app is-as the name suggests-the place where you will find all Apple games. In the application you see all Apple Arcade games, so that you can easily install them. You can also see which games are played by friends, you can challenge friends for games and you see an overview with all the games on your iPhone. The data from Game Center is also shown in the Games app.
Preparation has been available on the Mac (book) for some time. In 2025, preview will finally be taken to the iPhone and iPad. That is good news, because with this application it is easier to open, view and edit (PDF) files. Other functions of preview are the automatic fill-in of (PDF) files, scanning documents and creating new images. With iOS 26 it will soon be much easier to work with files on your iPhone or iPad.
Release of iOS 26
With iOS 26, Apple brings many functions and two new apps to the iPhone. Both the games and the preview app is also available on the iPad with iPados 26. With games, Apple collects all games, statistics and data from Game Center in one place. Preparation becomes the application where you can find all files and documents.
