Apple has added more languages ​​for Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.4, but still not in Dutch. Yet it is possible to use (some) functions here too. Often you have to set the iPhone in English. But there is a position that already works in Dutch.

One of those functions can be found in the photos app. This is the ‘well -off’ function (Clean Up in English). This allows you to remove distracting objects in a photo very easily. For example, think of a person in your photo, or a plug of paper on the floor. You can find the function by opening a photo in the photos app and then tap the adjustment button (the button with the three stripes). Then you will find the function on the far right.

Turning up on iPhone

With some iPhones, the spacious function standard is already on. Even though Apple says that ‘well on’ does not work on iPhones and iPads if you are in the EU. Is that the case with your iPhone and you really don’t see the function yet? Then you can always switch on the function manually.

Keep in mind that your iPhone (or iPad) must have support for Apple Intelligence. Otherwise, that kite will not go anyway. The iPhones with support for Apple’s AI are the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max or newer. In addition, the iPhone 16th also has the AI ​​functions.

Then you first have to set the iPhone to English. You do that by going to ‘Settings> General’. Then you scroll down and opt for ‘Language and Region’. Then place the preferred language on ‘English (US)’ and at the region you set this to ‘United States’ or ‘United States’.

Then open the ‘photos’ app and open a photo. Open the settings and tap ‘Clean Up’ to download the function. Once the function is inside, you can continue to use it forever. Then you can put the iPhone back in Dutch and this function of Apple Intelligence remains available on your device.
