It is perhaps the biggest annoyance of phone owners: unknown calls. In this way you will no longer be bothered by it on your iPhone.
Unknown phone calls are often a huge annoyance. Nine times out of ten they are from someone you don’t want. What about an energy company that tries to sell you a contract or scammers who try to get their hands on your data. Fortunately, on the iPhone, there is a simple way to stop being bothered by it.
No more unknown callers on your iPhone
It is possible on your iPhone to silence unknown calls. This way you will not receive a notification if someone calls without a number. That saves you a lot of frustration from a vibrating phone that you try to fish out of your pocket and see that it was not necessary for anything.
You need iOS 15 to use this feature on your iPhone. After that, you need to take the following steps:
- Go to your settings
- Click here on the telephone heading
- Scroll down and click on ‘silence unknown callers’
- Check the box
Here are all the steps you need to take to stop being bothered by unknown callers on your iPhone. Once you’ve enabled the feature, the phone will ring for the unknown caller and then transfer to voicemail. That annoyance is gone forever.
Still see who called
However, the phone number will be added to the list of missed calls on your iPhone. So you can still see who has called you. This way you can always check who they are and whether you want to call a certain number back. Handy if, for example, there is someone you know who you have not yet added to your contact list.
