Toyota comes with miniscule electric company car

Toyota comes with a tiny electric company car. It is an electric version of the Pixis Van, a car that Toyota can thank Daihatsu for, just like for many other compact models of the brand.

Just like Honda, Toyota also comes with an extremely small electric company car. Although, the announced small EV is actually not a Toyota at all. During the G7 Hiroshima Summit, Toyota is pushing the electric version of the Pixis Van forward. The Pixis Van is in fact a Daihatsu Hijet Cargo on which Toyota has pasted its own logos. The electric Pixis Van is not alone, by the way. Daihatsu and Suzuki also come with an electric pack mule for the city.

Suzuki Every EV

Suzuki will get a Hijet derivative for the first time and there will also be an EV version of that.

The original of the Toyota Pixis Van – the Hijet Cargo from Daihatsu – also gets a fully electric variant. For the first time, Suzuki – which is collaborating more and more closely with Toyota – is also getting a derivative of the Daihatsu Hijet Cargo. The Suzuki Every – now really a Suzuki – is being transformed into a Hijet-with-Suzuki badges and there will also be an electric version of that. Incidentally, Subaru also sells a variant of the Daihatsu Hijet in the form of the Sambar. For the time being, there is no mention of the arrival of an electric Sambar.

Daihatsu will produce the electric trio. According to Daihatsu, the electric little ones can travel up to 200 kilometers on a full battery. There are no further technical specifications yet. These electric kei company cars will not come to the Netherlands.
