Have you recently switched from Android to Apple? Or are you planning to switch but you’re holding off because it’s too much hassle to take all your files with you? Well, there’s good news, because switching just got a whole lot easier.
Google now has the option to share photos from Easily transfer Google Photos to iCloud. And the great thing is: all your albums and data are included. The Google app makes a copy of all your photos (and videos) and transfers them. The original files remain in your Google Photos account. Do you want to delete them? Then you have to do that yourself afterwards.
Switching from Android to iPhone: a lot of hassle
When you want to switch from an Android device to the Apple iPhone, it is often a lot of hassle. You have to transfer all the files from one device to the other. When these files are online in the cloud, it is often less annoying, but then you sometimes still encounter problems on your new device.
One such example is your photos. If you have an Android device, most of your photos are probably in the Google Photos app. Now, you can also use this app on an iPhone, but it works less well. The iPhone is of course completely set up with the idea that all your photos are in Apple’s own Photos app.
Luckily, there’s now a new app for transferring your photos from Google Photos to iCloud. There was already an app for migrating your snaps from iCloud to Google Photos, but now transferring your photos the other way just got easier.
