Triumph Introduces Gold Line Editions for Modern Classic Family

Following the success of the Street Twin Gold Line Edition which was launched earlier this year and sold out within the season, the new range of eight Bonneville Gold Line Editions is based on the latest generation models and adds a unique and beautiful hand-painted ‘gold line’. ‘ color.

Triumph’s paint shop’s industry-leading expertise in hand-painted gold linings is a skill that requires incredible patience, years of experience and the most steadfast of hands.

Many of the new Gold Line Edition designs start with a basic two-tone scheme, with the connection point between the two colors being flattened. The gold line is then carefully applied by hand, usually in one continuous stroke by the artist, using a highly specialized sword-lined soft brush. Once the stripe is in place, it is sealed against the elements with a final coat of clear coat.

The paints used for the gold liner are specially formulated by mixing a bold color with a cellulose lacquer for just the right consistency, as normal automotive paint is too thin for brushwork.

Like every hand-painted Triumph, the artist adds the final detail to each Gold Line Edition by signing their work with their initials, adding a personal touch that makes each hand-painted Triumph special.
