Unfortunately: these four iPhones will no longer be for sale next week

Next week, Apple will finally present the iPhone 15, but that also means that a number of iPhones will no longer be available for purchase from Apple. These devices will disappear in a week.

iPhone 15 means the end of older iPhones

Apple has officially announced the Wonderlust event, making it all but certain that the new iPhones will be unveiled on Tuesday, September 12. Four devices will probably appear again this year: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra?). The iPhones will probably be for sale in all stores from the end of September.

The launch of a series of new iPhones also means the end of a number of older devices. These iPhones will then disappear from the range and are no longer for sale. At least that is the case with Apple, you can (often) still get older iPhones from other providers. We tell you which iPhones are no longer for sale at Apple after the launch of the iPhone 15.

These iPhones will soon no longer be for sale

After the unveiling of the new iPhones, Apple stops selling older models every year. Last year, the iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max disappeared from Apple’s range. It is expected that Apple will also stop selling a number of iPhones this year. These iPhones will probably no longer be for sale:

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14 Pro
  • iPhone 13 mini
  • iPhone 12

So if you want to buy a Pro model from Apple, you will soon only have the choice of the iPhone 15 Pro or the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE will remain for sale at Apple. For all other models you will have to go to alternative online stores, which will continue to offer the phones for a while. Would you rather buy the new iPhone from Apple? Then you should now go for one of these models.

Uncertainty about the iPhone 13 mini

The iPhone 13 mini stands out among the models that are disappearing, because this is the last iPhone mini that Apple released. The phone was released in 2021, but was succeeded by the iPhone 14 Plus. This means that you will no longer be able to go to Apple for an iPhone with a smaller screen. The iPhone 13 mini with a 5.4-inch display is now for sale there.

The iPhone SE 2022 will remain for sale at Apple, which has a 4.7-inch screen. Unfortunately, this iPhone does not have many newer features, such as Face ID and the ultra-wide-angle lens. The iPhone SE is therefore inferior to the iPhone 13 mini, so you have to go to another online store for a more advanced iPhone with a smaller screen. It is therefore quite possible that Apple will continue to offer the iPhone 13 mini for a while.

iPhones are still for sale due to stock

The fact that iPhones will soon no longer be for sale at Apple does not mean that you can no longer purchase them at all. Other providers often still have a stock of the phones and will continue to sell them for the time being. Apple no longer produces the iPhones, so that means that the stock is slowly but surely running out. As a result, iPhones also disappear from (online) stores after a while.

So do you want to buy a smaller iPhone? Then make sure you buy the iPhone 13 mini on time, while the phone is still in stock. The iPhone 13 mini runs on the A15 Bionic chip and will receive new software updates for at least another four years. This means the small phone will last for years to come.
