VAT-free days MediaMarkt 2023:
If you’re looking for a new speaker, smartwatch or earbuds, now is the right time to buy them. To start the year off right (buy), MediaMarkt organizes the VAT-free days: you pay temporarily no VATso you can save a lot on your purchase.
The VAT-free days run from Monday January 23 to Sunday January 29. No time to go to the store? No problem, because the offers are also valid in the webshop. Apple products are unfortunately excluded from the promotion.
Wearables
Despite the fact that the Apple Watch does not participate during the VAT days, there are plenty of other wearables to be found. For example, brands such as Fitbit, Garmin and Huawei do participate in the action at MediaMarkt. Do you really temporarily not pay VAT?
It is true that you temporarily do not pay VAT, but that does not mean that you will receive a 21 percent discount. The discount you ultimately receive is 17.36 percent.
An example: if a product costs 242 euros, this price consists of 200 euros for the product and another 42 euros in VAT (21 percent). During the VAT days, MediaMarkt pays that 42 euros; a discount of 17.36 percent on the total amount of 242 euros.
