Vinfast shows his ambitious side. Not only is the Vietnamese brand heading our way soon, it’s also targeting the United States. Vinfast will show its two first models in Los Angeles in November.
Between all the hustle and bustle of Chinese newcomers, you would almost forget that there are other Asian countries where new car manufacturers are emerging. The Vietnamese Vinfast is without a doubt one of the most promising players in that category. It recently revealed what the plans are for the Netherlands and we learned that Vinfast is also targeting the United States.
Given the history of the two countries, there is something special about the fact that the Vietnamese also go to the US. That will certainly not stand in the way of a possible success, because we all know how the Japanese brands ultimately fared in America. Vinfast is going to try it in the US in any case with the two models that we can also expect here in the Netherlands: the VF e35 and VF e36.
Although these are two new model names, you can carefully assume that they are cars that we have seen before, respectively under the names VF32 (photo 1 to 5) and VF33 (photo 6 to 8). The first is a 204 hp (1 engine) or 409 hp (2 engines) strong mid-range SUV, which must travel at least 504 km on a full battery. Its bigger brother always has 409 electric horsepower and, according to Vinfast, it travels 550 km.
In the new year, the Vinfasts will be available in the US and also here in the Netherlands.
