Vinfast will be attending the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. Not for nothing, because the Vietnamese brand intends to immediately unveil three new electric models. Good news for Europeans: it’s certainly not just about big cars.
In total, the curtain in ‘Vegas’ even goes from five EVs, but below that there are three that we have never seen. Earlier we got to see everything from this ambitious Vietnamese brand, including three interesting EVs. Vinfast promises that electric cars will be ready in Las Vegas for the A, B, C, D and E segment, with which a suitable line-up is ready in both the US and the EU. The intention seems to be to carry all five models on both continents, but undoubtedly more attention will be paid to the smaller cars in Europe, and more to the larger cars in the US.
As we have come to expect from Vinfast, the cars on display at CES are designed by Pininfarina. Vinfast promises ‘a premium driving experience’ and many advanced driver assistance systems.
Lately we hear more and more about Vinfast. That started in 2018 with two converted BMWs, but now a promising line-up is ready. The brand wants to start in 2022 in Europe, and therefore also in the Netherlands. The first cars should be delivered here in November next year. What is special is that the brand is so emphatically committed to the American market. North America often proves to be a difficult issue for automakers, which also explains, for example, why French brands are active everywhere but there. Vinfast also carries with it the burden of its Vietnamese origin, which may not have gone down well in the US given the past. If everything goes well, we will also be there at CES, and you will of course know what we get to hear there.
