Did you accidentally throw away a photo? No problem! This way you can easily restore deleted or erased photos to your iPhone.
Tip: How to Recover and Restore Deleted Photos on Your iPhone
It happens to everyone that you accidentally delete a photo but would rather have kept it. But don’t worry: if you (accidentally) delete a photo on your iPhone, it’s not gone forever. Your iPhone keeps every discarded photo on your device for one month. He does this in the ‘Recently deleted’ folder.
This of course has the advantage that you can easily retrieve a photo that you have accidentally thrown away. You can read exactly how to do this in the step-by-step plan below.
Recover or recover deleted photos from iPhone
- Open the ‘Photos’ app on your iPhone;
- Scroll down until you see the ‘Recently Deleted’ option;
- If necessary, use your Face ID or Touch ID to view the album;
- You will be shown all the photos that you can still get back on your iPhone. Select the photos you want to recover;
- Tap the three dots at the bottom right and choose ‘Restore’;
- Tap the ‘Restore (…) items’ notification to restore the photos.
You may need to use Face ID or Touch ID to view the Recently Deleted folder. Would you rather not? Or do you want that when the function is disabled for you? Then you have to open the Settings. There you can adjust this option as desired.
- Open ‘Settings’ and scroll all the way to the bottom;
- Tap ‘Apps’;
- Scroll down and tap the ‘Photos’ app;
- Turn the slider next to ‘Face ID’ or ‘Touch ID’ on or off as desired.
When you turn off the function, you must confirm the choice you made with Face ID, Touch ID or your login code.
