It’s time for an update again, because Apple has released watchOS 10.2. These new features are coming to your Apple Watch!
New update for the Apple Watch
Apple has not only released iOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2 can also be installed! This is a minor update for the Apple Watch, which brings a number of useful functions to your watch. We list the new functions for you!
1. Siri gets access to health data
With watchOS 10.2, Siri finally gets access to your health data. This means that with the new update you can ask Siri how many steps you have taken in a day or how you slept. Don’t want Siri to have access to this data? Then you can easily disable Siri in the settings of the Health app of your iPhone.
2. Switch between watch faces in watchOS 10.2
With watchOS 10.2, Apple has also brought back a popular feature to the Apple Watch, which had disappeared since watchOS 10. It was no longer possible to switch between watch faces by simply swiping left or right across the screen. Instead, you had to press and hold the screen for a few seconds to view the available watch faces.
You could then use the DigitalCrown switch between the different watch faces, or by swiping left or right across the display. With watchOS 10.2 it is possible to switch directly between your watch faces again. Didn’t you miss the function? Fortunately, in the latest watchOS version you can choose which method of operation you want to set up.
More new features in watchOS 10.2

- You’ll automatically see what’s playing on your Apple Watch when you’re near a HomePod or HomePod mini (for Apple Watch Series 6 or later);
- You no longer have to confirm ending workouts;
- All watch faces that you add to your iPhone will be visible again on your Apple Watch with watchOS 10.2.
