Watchos 11.4 is coming (and gets a long -awaited improvement)

The next update for the Apple Watch is Watchos 11.4. And in Watchos 11.4 there will be a function that we have been waiting for a long time!

Watchos 11.4 gets a long -awaited improvement

Not only the iPhone will receive a major update in April with iOS 18.4. The Apple Watch also gets a new version of Watchos. This is Watchos 11.4 and this version comes with a new feature that we have been waiting for for some time.

A release candidate from Watchos 11.4 has since appeared (and very briefly a final version that Apple has withdrawn) and that means that almost all new functions are in it. We can also almost be sure that and not much more will change.

In the release notes there are not many changes for Watchos 11.4, but a new feature was immediately noticeable. It is now possible to set an audible alarm, even if you have the Apple Watch on the Silent Mode.

The silent mode ensures that you do not hear any sounds when you receive a notification on your Apple Watch, for example. Instead, you can set a soft vibration so that you still know that a message has been received for you.

When you have switched on the silent mode, it also applies to the alarm on your Apple Watch. You only feel a vibration when your alarm clock ends in the morning. It was not possible to make an alarm heard, without first turning off the silent mode.

This new position in Watchos 11.4 is changing. You then have the option to put your Apple Watch in silent mode and still make the alarm heard on your Apple Watch. You can then switch this on or off per set alarm.
