The M4 chip was introduced in a remarkable way this year, not in a Mac, but in the iPad Pro. It will probably not stop at just the iPad. The M4 processor may also be added to the Mac mini and other Apple devices later this year.

The M3 chip was unveiled in the fall of 2023 and was replaced by the M4 within half a year. A special choice by Apple. Just like the A17 Pro for iPhone 15 Pro (Max) and M3 processor, the M4 chip is designed using a 3nm manufacturing process and this is reflected in the performance of the chip. In addition, there is good news to report for Mac users, the new models may get 16GB of RAM as standard.

Official: Apple Announces Special Online iPhone Event for September 9

Last week, Apple officially announced a special event for September 9th. The press moment is the start of the new Apple season and will take place online. Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone 16 (Pro) and Apple Watch Series 10.

It has been possible for some time now to ‘remove’ standard Apple applications from your iPhone and iPad and replace them with an app from another developer. From the end of 2024, this will be expanded even further and iPhone users will have even more freedom.

Interesting detail is, these extensions are only for iPhone and iPad users in the EU. Due to the new regulation and Digital Markets Act, Apple has to expand the offer and make the replacement easier.

Do you, as a Ziggo customer, also have a TV subscription with recording functions? Then there may be bad news to report. The provider has recently started showing mandatory advertising when watching RTL recordings. Before starting the recording, the viewer must watch a non-skippable commercial before the program starts.

Last spring, Ziggo ran a trial in which customers were presented with mandatory advertising at the start of an RTL recording. At the time, the provider already received a lot of criticism from its customers, but despite the commotion, Ziggo decided to implement its policy.
