The first Apple event of 2026 has been announced, but will likely be different from previous events. This is what you can expect!
Apple event of 2026
Apple has announced the first event of 2026! On Wednesday March 4, 2026 journalists and other famous people have been invited to Apple events in three cities. Events in New York, London and Shanghai are scheduled for 3:00 PM Dutch time. It is expected that the first Apple event of 2026 will be different from previous events, as Apple itself calls it a “special Apple experience”.
The invitation to the first Apple event of 2026 is different from what we are used to from the company. Apple does not refer to a live stream nor has it added an event to the official page. So you don’t have to expect a big presentation like the launch of the new iPhones on March 4, 2026. Instead, Apple will probably unveil the new products via press releases, which will be published on March 2, March 3 and March 4.
Many new products
After these press releases, invited guests will immediately have the opportunity to get started with the new products in New York, London and Shanghai. The first Apple event of 2026 is therefore not a large presentation, but an opportunity to be the first to test the new products. That is also necessary, because many new products are expected. In any case, the iPhone 17e, iPad 2026 and iPad Air 2026 are planned.
In addition, three new Macs are also expected. The MacBook Pro 2026 with the M5 Pro and the M5 Max chip will be released as a supplement to the current MacBook Pro with M5 chip. Furthermore, the MacBook Air 2026 and the completely new MacBook 2026 will be released. The latter will be the cheaper entry-level model, which runs on the A18 Pro chip and will be available in a series of striking colors. For example, we will reportedly see at least six new Apple products in the week of March 2, 2026.

More about the Apple event
Other products expected soon are the new generations of the Apple TV and the HomePod mini. There is little chance that Apple will present these devices at the first event of 2026, they will probably only appear later this year. The same applies to the completely new HomePad, which should be a combination of the HomePod and iPad. This will also only be released later in 2026, possibly at the same time as the new versions of the Apple TV and the HomePod mini.
So we can expect many new products in the week of March 2, 2026. Have you already put the first Apple event of 2026 in your calendar? Please note that there will probably be no live stream available on Wednesday and the new products may have already been announced via press releases. Don’t want to miss anything?
